September 2015

My dad offered up his seats to the Wahine Volleyball game so we got great seats to cheer on the team to victory.

We started a new tradition of spending Labor Day weekend on the North Shore. My most favorite part was hiking to Waimea Falls. The water was freezing and I was sure that after putting one toe in the water Emma would freak out. But she LOVED it. She would have paddled away from me (in her swimming vest) and to the actual falls if I didn’t pull her back.

The worst part about the weekend, I didn’t get us a rental that came with air conditioning and there was a horrible heat wave. We could barely sleep at night it was so hot. Lessons learned. I just booked our Air BNB place for 2016′s Labor Day and made sure to check off the air conditioning option when picking what amenities we wanted.

But instead we made do with some shave ice.

“Emma” completed her first homework assignment for school.

For my birthday I asked for tickets to the Food and Wine Festival at Ko Olina.

With fantastic chefs…

Cute corporate advertisements…

And strangely-attired festival goers.

There were lobster-bakes.

And Ethiopian food.

And a day out at the zoo.

Elephants… woah!

Fishy Fishy Fishy

Petting zoo fun.
